Introducing the Lipidomics Minimal Reporting Checklist
Abstract
No abstract available.
Highlights
- With the rapid growth of lipidomic data, some problems have emerged in its reporting, such as minimized method descriptions and lack of careful review. To promote standardization in this field, the Lipidomics Standard Initiative (LSI) has called for guidelines and minimum reporting standards previously.
- On this basis, this comment paper proposes the concept of the Lipidomics Minimal Reporting Checklist, which integrates the guidelines and requirements into a dynamic, interactive and virtual checklist covering nine sections, including Pre-Analytics, Overall Study Design, Lipid Extraction, etc.
- This checklist can be used to evaluate the quality and completeness of lipidomic data, assist in experimental design and manuscript preparation, and also serve as an educational tool. It will be revised based on user feedback, rendering the lipidomics field stronger, more robust and more harmonious.
