Zheng Ouyang
Founder of PURSPEC
Professor in the Department of Precision Instruments at Tsinghua University, Director of the Shanghai Analytical Technology Industry Research Institute. Professor Ouyang earned his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Purdue University in the United States. His career has been dedicated to advancing mass spectrometry instruments and their applications, establishing him as an authority in the field. He has expertise in mass spectrometry theory, instrument design, sampling techniques, and ionization processes. As a global leader in mass spectrometer miniaturization, Professor Ouyang has significantly influenced the innovation and application of mass spectrometry. His work has been supported by prestigious institutions like the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and NASA. He has published over 150 SCI-indexed papers, cited more than 11,000 times.
Dr. R. Graham Cooks
Senior Technical Consultant
President of the International Mass Spectrometry Association, Member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, Henry B. Hass Distinguished Professor at Purdue University. Recognized internationally as a master in mass spectrometry, Professor Cooks has received the highest honor, the Thomson Award, from the International Mass Spectrometry Association, the Distinguished Contribution Award from the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, and the Dreyfus Award in the field of chemical sciences. He has laid the foundation for and deeply engaged in research in the fields of mass spectrometer miniaturization and ambient ionization techniques. Professor Cooks has a long-term collaboration with PURSPEC Technology in the research and expansion of mass spectrometry technology applications.
Yu Xia
Senior Technical Consultant
Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. Professor Xia Yu is dedicated to the research of gas-phase ion chemistry of biological macromolecules and the development and application of mass spectrometer. She has published about 60 papers in important journals in this field and, as the principal investigator, has successively received funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation and the U.S. National Institutes of Health. In 2013, she received the Research Award from the American Society for Mass Spectrometry and in 2015, she was elected to the board of the International Mass Spectrometry Association and served as the secretary-general. Professor Xia Yu has a long-term cooperation with PURSPEC Technology in theoretical research and omics exploration.
